Silk Hereke Rug
About the Item
This all silk, extremely fine urban, Turkish wall-hanging shows a cream nichewith a central vase flanked by two full-height trees harboring small birds. Diagonally colour-ribbed colonettes at the sudes. Light straw spandrels with vineryand forked arabesques. Stellate and oval palmettes in the border. Pile dot "islands" in the end plainweave finishes. As new condition. Measures: 3'4'' x 5'0''.
