Elegant and captivating, this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Tabriz rug features an Islamic Quatrefoil Tile Art Work design composed of an all-over geometric pattern of interlocking motifs. Two large-scale columns of four stacked quatrefoil lobes with a creamy backdrop are filled with sky blue four petal florals, serrated leaves while dark cerulean and coffee colored cruciform motifs are anchored by complementary colored palmettes. The quatrefoil medallions alternate with sandy beige octofoil amulets composed of angular vines and Chinese cloud-collars made from trefoils. Crosses, eight-pointed stars, and lobed medallions of quatrefoil, trefoil and Chinese cloud-collars interlock and flow into one another, each replete with unique floral ornament.
