The warp strands are only seen at the ends, where they appear as the fringe and usually tied in bunches, to ensure unraveling of the weave. Kilim symbols may vary according to their changes of color, placement in the pattern or slight modification of shape. With multiple patterns, motifs, colors and sizes available, Kilim rugs can fit practically any style of design, be it classical, traditional, contemporary, Bohemian chic, modern or rustic.
