Antique Caucasian Karachov Kazak Rug on Green Ground

About the Item

A good example of a Caucasian Karachov Kazak rug with the traditional linked medallion design, on a scare green ground. The rug has four linked medallions on a sea green field, the colour combinations make this a visually striking rug. Note the many tribal filler items in the field, the design is visually similar to that found on Shirvan rugs. The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, the rug has been fully restored and is offered in showroom condition. The rug has been hand washed and is suitable for normal domestic use or display. Additional information: Origin: The Caucasus Age: Circa 1880 Size: 8ft 2in x 4ft 8in (250 x 143cm) Reference: MT-005.
