Antique Caucasian Shirvan Rug

About the Item

The Shirvan region in the eastern Caucasus is one of the principle weaving centers in that region. This area is known for producing bold geometric patterns executed in primary colors. This rug has two columns of octagonal medallions on an indigo field within an ivory stylized rosette border. 5' 7" x 3' 9" .
