Antique Karabagh Square Rug

About the Item

:: Ornate center vase with tree-of-life stemming therefrom in dramatic contour with lower leaves withering, and each blossom above more healthy than the last.All enveloped within a prayer style border, and rooted arabesques finishing the lower portion. Colors and shades include: Rich blush, cochineal red, dusty rose, antique ivory, beige, sand, and earth tones throughout. Condition notes: Areas of older restoration scattered throughout, etching and corrosion to darker shaded knots in the bronze brown charcoal family exposing faint foundation. Light professional reduction to several rows of knots on either end. Mostly secure sides with only minor separation in a run of 3-5" on one side cord selvage. Mostly secure ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Armenian Karabagh square rug made in Armenia circa 1900 vintage. Size measures 3'4" x 4'6".
