This piece is a rare collectable item is a salt bag, woven in the early 20th century. Salt bags were traditionally used as storage for herbs, spices and salts, allowing nomads to easily carry and contain the substances. This Salt bag has been woven with a traditional geometric design in a beautiful blue, red and orange colour palette. Both the colour and design make this piece the perfect rug accent accessory for any room.
This piece was constructed with fine, hand-spun wool and cotton that have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques used for generations. The techniques and materials make this piece durable and so sure to last if cared for correctly. Good condition, ready for use.
