About the Item
This handwoven textile is an extremely rare Khorjin rug/ saddle bag woven in the early 19th century. Saddlebags were traditionally used as storage which nomadic travellers used upon horseback. The design features a traditional geometric pattern woven with a superficial rust and brown colour palette. The colour and design featured in this unique piece make it the perfect accent accessory for any room.
This piece was constructed with fine, hand-spun wool and cotton that have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques used for generations. The methods and materials make this piece durable and sure to last if cared for correctly. Good condition, ready for use.
