Antique Saryk Turkmen Rug

About the Item

Antique Saryk Turkmen rug with well drawn large Saryk guls. This is an good example of a Saryk rug with three rows of nine Saryk guls, the minor guls are also typical of Saryk weaving. The rug has a firm handle with dense pile and a heavily depressed warp structure, the warps are hand spun ivory wool. The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
