Antique tribal Kazak rug in Brown with Geometric Patterns, from Rug & Kilim

About the Item

Hand-knotted in wool, this 4x5 Antique tribal Kazak rug is believed to originate from turn-of-the-century Russia. An exciting new curation from Rug & Kilim, its design favors a primitivist style with large geometric patterns in red, blue and beige-brown. On the design: From the late 19th to early 20th century, this Kazak is perhaps a quintessential piece of its provenance with such archaic beauty and rich color. The rug features a graphic play of medallion and all-over designs, with vibrant red, blue, and beige motifs that add depth and character. Connoisseurs will admire its rustic, old-world charm as a collectible piece of history and culture today. Designers may further admire its versatile scatter rug size—well suited for wall-hanging projects or other creative applications beyond flooring. Condition: This antique tribal rug further enjoys an overall good condition for its age and origin. There is some notable color wear and tear in the border, which can be mended upon enquiry. This piece is also notable for its wide applications apart from just being a rug, as wall-hangings too.
