Colorful Antique Tribal Caucasian Karabagh Rug, circa 1900s

About the Item

The near black field shows a one way repeating scaliform design of lumpy acanthus arches enclosing rosettes, palmettes and buds, detailed in green, blue and ecru. Pattern appears on Malayer and Kurdish Persian weaves as well. Narrow yellow border with reversing triple flower sprays in the Anatolian manner. Fairly good condition, but wear in the dark tone.
