Contemporary Bessarabian floral brown, green, red and white flat-weave wool rug by Doris Leslie Blau Size: 12'0" × 18'2" (365 × 553 cm) This exceptional Bessarabian rug features traditional Eastern-European design elements and refined workmanship. Its main field is divided into sections carrying alternately two types of stylized garlands, floral and leafy, separated by decorative stripes and embraced by a border with a herringbone pattern. The beige background is invigorated with red, green and gold tones of the motifs. Dark brown ornamental stripes add elegance and depth to the composition. The Bessarabian design rug was thoroughly handmade of the finest wool in order to ensure its durability and impeccable structure of the fabric. Its pile is high and low which provides not only a more intriguing appearance but also a distinct tactile sensation. If maintained properly, the modern carpet will withstand years of usage without any signs of wear, bringing in its whimsical charm.
