Handmade Kurdish Runner Rug Long Oriental Silk & Wool Flatwoven Rug

About the Item

This beautiful silk and wool runner rug is a handmade, flatwoven kilim woven in the early 21st century, circa 2010. It is unused and so is in excellent condition. The central design has been woven on a rust-red background and features a repeating tile pattern woven in beige and yellow accents with intricate geometric motifs throughout. The bold geometric patterns paired with the elegant colour palette making this modern kilim a great accent rug for any home. This area rug was woven with fine, hand-spun silk & wool that has been dyed with organic dyeing techniques, used for generations. Woven with traditional flatweave techniques that have also been used for centuries. The techniques and materials used in the construction of this unique kilim make it hard-wearing and so suitable for any high traffic area in your home.
