This is a vintage Kilim rug circa 1900. This rug is magnificent considering the complicity of pattern and color. Kilims are pile less textiles often produced by using flat weaving techniques. The word “kilim” comes from Turkish origins, however flat weave textiles or similar have been historically practiced all throughout central Asia.
