Mid 20th Century Afghan Erasri Rug

About the Item

This nearly square nomadic piece from northern Afghanistan show a light tan field with four columns, each of eight octagonal tauk noska (chicken) guls, all well-spaced, within a border system including two stripes with half-ashiks and a central floating a small ashik band. A useful and versatile size. Persian knotted, all wool. Good condition. NW Afghanistan. Rug Size 8'9x10'6
