A hand-knotted wool rug in cool blues and greys.
This rug combines modernity with tradition. It features minute, diamond-shaped motifs clearly referencing the traditional oriental style, however they are arranged in neat rows and intersect stripes, which are a modern touch. The non-linearity of the stripes is intentional, introducing measured disarray to the rug’s design. The juxtaposition of two, subdued colors create a calm, peaceful vibe and ties into the stripes and diamond chains crisscrossing the main field. The rug is quite large, so its simplistic charm can stretch across an entire room.
