About the Item
Vintage room-size hand-knotted silk rug from Herat, Afghanistan circa the mid 1900s. The rug is in an allover pattern consisting of large medallions in red, brown, and black colors. The medallions show beautifully on a cream-colored silk field. The border is on a black background with connected pink color small medallions. The ends of the rug have kilim weaving which adds to the beauty of the rug.
Dimensions: 6’ x 9’ 3”
