FINE AUTHENTIC SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN HERIZ Circa 1920-30 Item # C104005 This gorgeous rug remains in excellent condition, its bold palette mellowed from years of gentle use and sun exposure to result in a most interesting burnt red ground. The contrasting colors throughout are particularly effective, using deep cobalt blues against pinks vines in the border and sharper reds framed in cream stringers in the spandrels. Years of use have lowered the pile in a most attractive way, resulting in a design that springs to the forefront with crispness and clarity. A most attractive rug.
