76637 Vintage Afghan Ersari Turkmen Torba, wall hanging, tapestry. This hand knotted wool antique Afghan Turkmen Turkoman Torba storage bag features an all-over symmetrical geometric pattern of Gul motifs, possibly Tekke, Ersari or Yomut. Large checkerboard Kilim at the bottom composted of alternating colors of five large quincunx motifs. Torbas were used by nomads for storage like Chuval bags. Perfect used as a wall hanging, tapestry, or tribal wall art. Bespeaking age and history, this vintage Afghan textile is the perfect complement to interiors with similar richness and rustic vibes including natural wood furnished chalets, hunting lodges, estates, cottages, and mountainside abodes as found in Colorado, Lake Tahoe, or the Adirondacks.
