On the Design:
Inspired by French Aubusson and Savonnerie rugs, this vintage rug is a beautiful example of Müren’s eclectic designs. His talent for taking any style and giving it a playful mid-century modern edge with the most subversive colors. Connoisseurs will note the employment of greens - never seen used in such a way in an Aubusson.
Besides green, the floral-medallion pattern revels in brown and an elegant accent play - beautifully complementing the distressed appeal.
Overall an elegant piece - worthy of decorating an array of rooms.

This mid-century vintage Zeki Müren rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its construction has been lowered to preserve its construction, which lends it the distressed look of wear and chic in a low pile.
