The fuschia-rose borderless field displays a roughly oval bottom to top medallion of flowers and tendrils, and zig-zagging broken basketwork. In tones of mauve, yellow, green and teal. The broken fence work or basketry theme is encountered in other interwar Chinese carpets, often on goldenrod fields. The fuschia is quite rare and the size is uncommon. Good condition.
