New Contemporary Chinese Art Deco Style Rug Inspired by Walter Nichols

30575, new contemporary Chinese Art Deco style rug inspired by Walter Nichols. Channeling the famed Walter Nichols style of the 1920s and 1930s, this hand knotted wool new contemporary Chinese Art Deco rug features a variety of floral motifs overlaid upon an abrashed royal blue field. The design of this piece has been rendered in a manner faithful to the beloved Art Deco rugs that inspired it. A small medallion lined with trefoil blooms elegantly floats in the center. A variety of floral motifs including oriental lilies, lotuses, rosettes and flowering vases dot the field surrounding the medallion. Oriental lilies in alternating designs decorate the main border, which is flanked by a wonderful series of borders featuring rosettes, lily blossoms, lappets, and striped designs. Along with its Classic design and expressive motifs, this contemporary piece also boasts the soft, plush pile and rich, saturated color palette so often seen in the iconic Nichols Rugs. This lavish and sophisticated new contemporary Chinese Art Deco rug would bring a touch of that Roaring Twenties vibrancy to any interior. It is rendered in variegated shades of ink blue, royal blue, navy blue, cobalt, light yellow, daffodil, gold, ocher, cream, beige, ecru, sand, almond, light pink, rose, salmon, terra cotta, and other accent colors.
