Outstanding Chinese Art Deco Rug

An outstanding early 20th century Chinese Art Deco rug with a rich dark indigo field with lighter indigo and multicolored blossoming peonies. The border is beautiful, with a wide inner gray stripe, and a thin dark indigo outer stripe, both overlaid with auspicious scholars objects like potted vases, books, scrolls, and butterflies and phoenix.
