This 9x12 flatweave from the European rug collection by Rug & Kilim is a contemporary take on 18th century Aubusson rugs and tapestries. Handwoven in fine quality wool, this piece is from the earliest productions of R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal, newly unveiled for the first time following his deep love for this style.
On the Design:
The classic style piece relishes a medallion with a cartouche-like detailing along the borders. Its colorway enjoys a play of gold, red and beige-brown with cream tones celebrated in this transitional Neoclassical style. Connoisseurs will further admire the detail for a work of this large size that beautifully recaptures the French aesthetic. The look is both immersive and elegant, and offers vast design applications in flooring and wall-hanging projects today.
