Pile: Flatweave Material: Cotton Wear Notes: 3 10'6" x 14'2" Authentic Antique Indian Jail Dhurrie, circa 1900. Fleatweave cotton dhurrie with traditional colors and design. Exceptional size in good condition. Jail Dhurrie’s were made in Indian prisons during British rule between 1860 and 1920. They’re known by their simplistic striped pattern and traditional blue and white colors. This is a rare, large and very old piece. Repairs may be visible upon close inspection. 7-8 Moderate wear throughout. Some repairs may be visible upon close inspection. Most of our rugs with this level of wear have a fully restored foundation that is strong and free of holes. 9-10 Heavy wear, lots of foundation showing. Repairs may be visible upon close inspection.
