Handmade Mid-Century Indian Kashmir Rug For NK Stockholm
About the Item
A Mid-Century Modern Semi-Antique handmade Indian (Kashmir region) rug dating around 1960. This embroidered art work representing scenes of a feast among royalties and noble people, was imported by the notorious Swedish design home NK in Stockholm, where the most famous 20th Century Swedish designer has been represented. This oriental colorful rug is definitely a rare and different work of art sold at NK, a contrast to their strictly Nordic style designed furniture and small decorative objects.
Imported "expressly for NK" as it is marked on the original label on the backside of this vintage rug. Made by "Gulam Mohidin & Son (P) LTD".
