Rug & Kilim's New Agra Red and Gold Wool Runner Floral Pattern

About the Item

Originating from India in the 2010s, this new Agra wool runner features interesting complementary symbols in its field design. Hand knotted in high-quality wool, the field design employs a vertically symmetrical tower of lotus, palmette, and tree imagery, respective symbols of rejuvenation and eternity, in a lustrous array of rich red, rustic aqua and ocean blue, beige, and notable gold. Complemented by mirrored inner and outer floral borders with finely woven geometric symbols, the wrapping rich red guard border accents the spacious length of this piece, as do the mirrored vertical fringes in a delicate, shortly braided beige.
