Contemporary gray handmade silk and wool rug by Doris Leslie Blau Size: 10'6" × 22'7" (320 × 688 cm) Diversed surface, inspiring tint and amazing elongated shape of this contemporary carpet attract the attention of those who are in search of a truly tasteful addition. Elegant shade of violet-gray adorns the entire surface of this unique extended modern area rug. Masterful high-low weaving technique divides the field into various kinds of textures, where the pattern, established with two types of raw materials, consists of horizontal trails of Roman ‘I’ numerals. They are woven with linen, while the background of the same color is made of woolen pile-weave. This hand-knotted piece of art is suitable for calibration of space with use of its unusual shape and sapid tint of the whole. Modern rugs, also known as contemporary rugs originate from various early 20th century weaving styles. The vintage Art Deco carpets...
