About the Item
This beautiful vintage runner rug has been sourced in the area of Azilal, High Atlas, Morocco.
If you look at it closely, you will spot two colorful teapots and names written into it, amongst usual berber designs like diamonds and checks. The name Bahija and "HAPPY NEW YEAR 1990" in arabic ("Sana Saïda 1990") are written into the rug, which make this piece really special. I love when a vintage moroccan brings so much history with it!
This rug is all handmade, made of multiple, colorful cotton and wool threads in brown, yellow, pink, blue, knotted together on a cotton base.
Approximate dimensions are 3x8.7feet / 93x265cm.
The rug has not been cut or artificially faded and comes in its original shape.
