Recalling the Brutalist influence of mid-century designer Harry Bertoia (1915-1978), this contemporary Moroccan style rug is an amalgam of International style and the very definition of celebrated and spirited high end art. Warm brown and taupe colored lines create an all-over asymmetrical design against a creamy-beige backdrop. An architecture-like form recalling a simple dwelling appears at one end in navy blue meanwhile squares, triangles, and rectangular bars further ornament the carpet field. Rectilinear design elements composed of a finial, facade, K-shape, perpendicular lines, small squares and cubes are dispersed adding interest and depth.
