Vintage Moroccan Kilim in Large Geometric Pattern in Lavender, Ivory, Red, Black
About the Item
A vintage handmade Moroccan flatwoven kilim with a wonderful large format geometric design pattern in beautiful colors of lavender, pale yellow, red, and black. The kilim is the foundation piece for a Boucherouite rug. The word “Boucherouite '' literally means “Torn or reused fabric” in the Arabic language which is the spoken language of most North African and Middle Eastern countries. The Moroccan women weavers use this material to make these beautiful modern design rugs that have imaginative design patterns and wonderful colors. This item can be resized and custom finished including serge the sides and bind the ends if desired.
