Vintage Moroccan rug in Brown with Beige Geometric Patterns, from Rug & Kilim

About the Item

Hand-knotted in wool and hailing from Morocco circa 1950-1960, this 5x8 vintage Moroccan rug is a new curation from Rug & Kilim. On the Design: Connoisseurs may note that this piece is believed to be an Azilal rug, handmade by nomadic tribal weavers of the same name in the High Atlas Mountains. This piece enjoys a textural, shabby chic beauty with simple beige geometric patterns in a chocolate brown field. Keen eyes may admire the lush, rich look and feel of the high pile, as well as this runner’s simple archaic beauty—exemplary of Berber designs found today. Condition: This mid-century Azilal runner rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor.
