Vintage Moroccan Silk and Wool Flat-Weave Kilim Carpet

About

Vintage cactus silk and wool flat woven Moroccan textile. Wonderfully soft this textile has just been cleaned and is ready to use on a bed, sofa or on the floor. This textile has a cool modern feeling and would also be a great piece to hang on the wall. Cactus silk is made from the fibre of the Saharan aloe vera, a member of the agave family. The leaves are pounded and soaked until the fibres separate. Then the fibres are spun by hand to create a silky, but very strong thread.
