About the Item
This real vintage Zayane rug truly is a collector find! The perfect artistic rug to bring warmth and extra character to your space!
The background color of this rug is a deep red but I guess you can tell from the pictures attached that it shows different shades. All over the rug, traditional designs appear in an unregular composition in cream and mint green. You can spot the classical diamonds in all sizes, more mysterious designs and numbers, probably a date but I can't read it well. This is a rug that comes with a story + the rug has not been artificially faded and shows original colors.
Handmade 100%, with wool on a cotton base. The pile is a low to medium.
Approximate dimensions are 7x12feet / 213x365cm.
If you made a quick search you know that it is unusual to find real vintage moroccan rugs this wide. They were made first for a private use and rooms in traditional berber houses are quite narrow. That explain why you can find long rugs, but almost never wider than 7feet.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. The rug will come with obvious signs of wear, like some worn spots in pile, which make it unique and charming. I like to show it to you like it is. Of course, those fringes can be fixed on demand (with no extra cost).
