Beautiful large Size Floral American American Rug, Country of origin: United States of America, Circa: Turn of the Twentieth Century – A style that is as intriguing as it is unique, Hooked rugs and carpets represent a singular development in the world of antique carpets. These down to earth creations are often resplendent with simple and comfortable designs that appeal to a wide array of different tastes – which makes them uniquely well suited to America. While antique American hooked rugs are generally appreciated for their homey charm, this unusual example is inspired by the grace and elegance of French Aubusson rugs and Savonnerie carpets.
