21st Century Persian Oushak Master 8x11 Ivory, Pink, & Yellow Handmade Area Rug
About the Item
Ashly Fine Rugs presents a 21st-century Persian Oushak 8x11 handmade area rug. Oushaks began in a location just south of Istanbul, in a region that was to become the rugs namesake, Oushak. Although nomads first produced the rugs for personal use only, since the 15th century, Oushak was the center of significant production of Turkish rugs.
These elegant pieces were created by our in-house designers and woven by our expert weavers in Persia with all hand-spun vegetable-dyed wool. This beautiful Oushak area rug has an ivory-colored background with the design, details, and border all consisting of light red, yellow, pink, light green, and light grey. Being completely handwoven and made with all-natural vegetable dyes, these rugs are sheared and given about a 1/4" pile height to give an authentic antique look, while still being plush and soft to the touch. Nonetheless, this is a great rug for a living space, bedroom, or wherever its look is desired.
