About the Item

Hand knotted in wool originating circa 1910-1920, this antique rug connotes an tribal Baluch rug design with a unique emphasis on an atypical pink-red colorway. The subtle variations in this colorway dye lend the more traditional all-over medallion patterns a sense of character complementing their depth against the richer, tastefully abrashed brown background, the sum portrait representing a distinct, collectible approach to handmade Persian rugs with a more versatile interior design appeal. A welcome addition to the Persian lines in the antique and vintage Collection from Rug & Kilim.
