Antique Fine Distressed Tabriz Carpet
About the Item
:: Intricate covered field bold detailed vines arranged in rows and columns of medallions some with pomegranate top views. Main border in a meandering vine geometric design motif with central bursting floral and infinity stylized contour. Colors and shades include: Ivory, terracotta, copper, powder blue, chocolate brown, beige, sand, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Localized areas of repair and restoration. Some minor selvage pulls which will be corrected prior to shipping. One end measures 6'10" whereas the opposing measures 7'. This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age and size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Tabriz carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 7' x 9'8".
