Antique Hamadan Oriental Carpet, West Persian Village

About the Item

Within a broad, plain camel-tone border, this west Persian village carpet presents a cream field with a small hexagon and flower all-over pattern underlying full and partial large medallions with internal Herati patterns accented in green, dark brown, red and ivory. This floating multiple medallion semi-geometric style is a Hamadan diagnostic. The tomato red main border shows an angular blue vine defining bottehs. The rug is Classic and attractive.
