About the Item

A fantastic northwest Persian corridor-Kalege- long and wide runner. This very unusual tribal persian piece is hand woven by a single weaver perhaps for a self use. The rust-brown field is decorated with three medallions that are surrounded with an array of Herati motifs. The carpet is perfect for a library or a large foyer and could work with a variety of interiors such as arts and crafts, rustic,Tudor or Edwardian .With excellent condition and full pile the carpet is ready to find a home.
