Hand-knotted with Manchester wool, an antique 12x17 Persian Kashan rug circa 1920-1930 - curated by Rug & Kilim.
On the Design:
Particularly a rare oversized rug, this piece is one of the few Kashani rugs of its size one might find today in such beautiful condition and quality - likely from a very special collection. Made with Manchester wool, this rug enjoys a soft pile with gentle sheen. Keen eyes will note rich red, blue and gold tones underscore a dense, elaborate series of palmettes and other floral patterns in the field and border alike.
Condition:
Possibly one of the most regal pieces of its provenance, let alone size, we’ve seen in a while—a collectible in great condition.
