Measures: 10'4 x 14'3. Handwoven by Qashqai tribal artists in southeastern Iran, the piece features sophisticated artistry, which begins in the outer borders and is evident in the rich reds, deep blues, and elegant pale blossoms. A crenelated fence separates the contrasting floral borders from the fascinating heart of this striking antique carpet. A blue background comprises the robust base of the carpet, creating a striking contrast against the breathtaking pattern. Rendered primarily in rich jewel tones, the motifs depict stylized chrysanthemums and a classic yet unique design unique to Qashqai carpets.
