Full of character and stately presence, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Malayer gallery rug showcases an intrinsic geometric MIna Khaki pattern composed of blossoms, Herati, stylized vines and the Guli Henna which is the Flower of Hinnai also known as Guli Hinnai; a central stem plant with star flowers on either side. With its bold elemental nature and vibrant color palette, this antique Malayer runner immersed in Persian history and embodies true rectilinear style. The dynamic Herati pattern embellished with serrated details and ornate spandrels combined with playful florals unfold a well-balanced composition. The gentle waves of abrash sweep across the refined field enhancing the depth of the composition while the border and guard bands display an impressive array of tribal-like motifs. Rendered in variegated shades of ruby red, scarlet red, brick red, pink, salmon, ink blue, cerulean blue, ivory, beige, tan, ecru, taupe and accent colors.
