:: Circa 1915 antique fine Persian Malayer rug. Elongated rectangular lozenge medallion with dark blue background and tightly woven allover Herati motif. Brilliant abrashed tomato red inset with scattered, diminutive tree-of-life design elements accompanied with perched birds -- such a unique and intricate design! Will fit in beautifully with a myriad of home decor types. A highly refined and powerful carpet that is truly special, with a uniquely attractive combination of field and top color shade of natural dye teal, very rich, saturated and aesthetically pleasing. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with a one inch square patch as well as two or three very small spot stains which may or may not release. A few small areas of warps showing through as very minor mends. Mostly secured sides and ends. Measures in at the perfect area rug size of 3'11" x 6'4".
