Bakhtiari rugs, also known as Bakhtiar rugs or Bakhtiari carpets, are a type of Persian rug that originated in the Bakhtiari tribe's region in southwestern Iran. The Bakhtiari people are one of the largest Iranian tribal groups and are renowned for their weaving traditions .Bakhtiari rugs are handwoven using a symmetrical knotting technique, known as the Persian knot or Senneh knot, on a foundation of cotton or wool. These rugs typically feature a thick, durable pile made of high-quality wool, which contributes to their longevity and durability. One distinctive characteristic of Bakhtiari rugs is their "garden" or "paradise" design. These rugs are divided into different compartments or panels, each featuring a unique pattern. These panels are often surrounded by a border that frames the overall design. Bakhtiari rugs are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and artistic value. They are prized by collectors and rug enthusiasts worldwide for their beauty, quality, and cultural significance. Their intricate patterns and vibrant colors make them a popular choice for interior decoration, adding warmth and elegance to any space. Eliko Rugs by David Ariel...
