Size: 10'4" × 13'0" (314 × 396 cm)
This exceptional rug embodies a very successful marriage of the Classic Persian artistry and the simple construction of a flat-weave. The main field of the traditional-inspired rug carries a botanical pattern with stylizes acanthus leaves, palmettes and vines. It is embraced by a series of borders, the main of which emphasizes the elements of the central design. This opulent pattern is rendered in a rich color palette including contrasting red and blue as well as beige with pinkish undertones, mauve, taupe, mustard and mint.
The piece was carefully handwoven of high quality wool which shows in the firm structure. It requires certainly much less maintenance than a pile carpet -provided its minimal amount, the rug will serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear, bringing in the exotic charm.
