53240, distressed antique Persian Malayer Runner with French Provincial style and coastal colors. This hand knotted wool antique-washed antique Persian Malayer runner features a latch-hooked hexagonal medallion with palmette pendants floating on an abrashed ecru field. The medallion and spandrels both feature an attractive Herati design, while small birds and floral bouquets dot the field around the medallion. The Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all oriental rug designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. A pair of floral meander borders gracefully frames the composition. With its timeless design and tranquil color palette based around soft blues and neutral hues, this antique Persian runner would be an elegant and versatile addition to nearly any interior. Rendered in variegated shades of ecru, sand, almond, vanilla, cream, flax, oatmeal, beige, greige, oyster gray, light blue, sky blue, baby blue, cerulean, French blue, sienna, umber, chocolate, cocoa, and coffee.
