About the Item

This rug is a hand knotted master piece Persian Tabriz rug with a great quality. Tabriz is one of the oldest rug weaving centers and makes a huge diversity of types of rugs. This rug features a semi medallion with stunning floral pattern with unique design known as “Javan” with cream and brown base color and multi colors in borders. The pile is wool with cotton foundation (Veggie Dye). The Size is 8 feet wide by 11 feet and 4 inches tall. This is an 1960s 50 “Raj” consistent knotted rug but is equivalent to 60 “Raj” new rugs, (Raj is a total number on knots in 7 linear centimeters) and in this piece means that it has 50 knots in 7 centimeters in length which shows the high quality in this piece. This is pre-owned rug with a great quality, due to the age and normal wear and tear fringes are not even which look fine and it can be seen on images. both ends have been hand secured. It is important to note that in different light settings of the house, the rug may seem slightly lighter or darker.
