This vintage 6x9 Persian Kilim is handwoven in wool and originates circa 1950-1960. This Kilim is believed to hail from Meshkin—a small village known for its craft among what connoisseurs call "Northwest" Persian rugs. Further on the Design: This Kilim enjoys a deep, saturated red background with more vibrant medallions and geometric patterns within. Its many blues, oranges, and pinks enjoy a similar beauty that really brings out the sharp detail in its geometric patterns. One might call this an exemplar of Northwest flat weaves in its personality and unique, graphic charm. Condition: This mid-century Northwest Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
