77289, vintage Persian Hamadan hallway runner with rustic Arts & Crafts style. This hand knotted wool vintage Persian Hamadan runner features a stepped diamond medallion floating in the center of an abrashed field. The lozenge medallion sports an attractive floral design with a large center blossom surrounded by blooms. The field is adorned with an all-over stylized Herati pattern that mimics the floral designs of the medallion. The Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or fish pattern, is among the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. The elegant border scheme consists of a Classic carnation meander main border accompanied by simpler geometric meander and sawtooth secondary borders. The color palette of this vintage Persian runner is particularly gorgeous with its combination of pleasing neutrals, soft pastels, and brighter touches all set against a lovely charcoal gray backdrop. Both sophisticated and comfortable, this vintage Persian Hamadan runner would be a fantastic and versatile addition to any interior.
